Alright, Bollywood aficionados, gather ’round because Sonakshi Sinha’s big day is almost here! Our beloved Sona is tying the knot with Zaheer Iqbal tomorrow, June 23rd. And guess what? The pre-wedding festivities are turning up the heat faster than the Mumbai summer! 😅
Spotted recently were Sonakshi and her BFF Huma Qureshi, looking fab outside the bride-to-be’s residence. Sona was rocking a blue suit, chatting it up with her mom, Poonam Sinha. Oh, the joys of last-minute wedding stress (we feel you, girl)! Huma, ever the bestie, was also seen entering the house, probably to lend some emotional support or maybe just to enjoy the free food. Now, let’s address the elephant in the room. Earlier today, Zaheer’s dad Iqbal Ratansi decided to clear the air about some overzealous rumors flying around. No, Sonakshi isn’t converting to Islam post-marriage. In his own words, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.” Translation: Chill out, everyone!
Iqbal Ratansi went on to drop some wisdom bombs: “She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.” Now, if that doesn’t warm the cockles of your cynical heart, I don’t know what will. 😇
For those of you living under a rock, Sonakshi and Zaheer have been rumored to be an item since 2020. They even shared screen space in the 2022 film Double XL. Oh, and let’s not forget their sizzling chemistry in the music video Jodi Blockbuster last year. Can you say #CoupleGoals?
