Aaman Devgan & Rasha Thadani’s Flick Sinks Like a Stone in Opening Week

Hello Bollywood lovers! It’s your favorite Bollywood snoop, Khabree Kiran, back with some filmi gupshup! Today, we’re diving into the world of Azaad, the latest flick starring newcomers Aaman Devgan and Rasha Thadani. Spoiler alert: the box office hasn’t been too kind to them, but let’s get into the masala!

Azaad’s Box Office Rollercoaster 🎢

So, Azaad, this shiny new period drama, stormed into theaters with Aaman and Rasha leading the charge. But, alas, the box office is not singing praises just yet. Day 7 saw the movie pocketing a modest 40 lakhs, a sharp 35% drop from the previous day’s 62 lakhs. With a total of 7.06 crores in its kitty, crossing the 7 crore mark is a tiny win, but not quite the dhamaka they needed. 🤷‍♀️

The film’s under-10-crore status is a tad concerning, na? Despite starting off with some taareef from critics and the janta, the movie’s niche theme—a period drama centered around a horse—might not be everyone’s cup of chai. It opened with 1.5 crores, and except for a brief spike to 1.85 crores on day 3, it’s been a downhill ride since. Post day 4, the collections have dipped below 1 crore. Talk about a filmi struggle! 🙈

Behind the Scenes

Helmed by Abhishek Kapur, Azaad isn’t just about the fresh faces. With a special appearance by Ajay Devgn and performances by Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra, and Mohit Malik, you’d think it had all the ingredients for a hit. But the magic seems to be missing, sadly. 🎬

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood Ka Asli Drama!

In the world of Bollywood, it’s not just about the glitz and glam. Sometimes, a period drama needs a little more than a horse to gallop its way to success. Maybe next time, add a naach-gaana or a dhinchak item number, haan? 😜 Bollywood lesson #101: sometimes, even the brightest stars need a little extra shine!

Stay tuned, dosto, for more Bollywood updates with yours truly, Khabree Kiran. Until next time, keep the popcorn ready! 🍿
