So, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are tying the knot today, and all of Bollywood is buzzing like a beehive. But guess who’s missing the shaadi of the year? None other than our disciplined, punctual, and oh-so-hardworking Akshay Kumar! 😲

Yeah, you heard it right! Akki bhai won’t be gracing the grand Ambani wedding. It seems our Khiladi tested positive for COVID-19. Talk about bad timing, yaar! Just when the much-hyped Sarfira hit the theatres too!

Akshay Kumar will be skipping Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s grand wedding today.

A source close to the production team spilled the beans: “Akshay bhai was busy promoting Sarfira when he felt a bit off. After learning that some crew members tested positive, he decided to get himself tested too. And lo and behold, positive result aaya! So now, Akki is in isolation.”

Monsoon ka asar hai, bhaiyya. COVID-19 is back to playing the spoilsport, and Akshay is just one of its latest victims. Kya karein, safety first!

Sarfi-ra, an official adaptation of the 2020 Tamil hit Soorarai Pottru, opened in cinemas today. Directed by Sudha Kongara, the film also features the talented Paresh Rawal, Radhikka Madan, and a cameo by Tamil superstar Suriya. Unfortunately, Akshay will miss out on the last leg of promotions and the Ambani gala.

But don’t worry! The shaadi isn’t short on star power. International icons like Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have already landed in Mumbai. And, guess who else made a grand return? Our very own Priyanka Chopra Jonas with hubby Nick Jonas! This wedding is gonna be lit!
