Alright, picture this: The Shehenshah of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan, decided to make a grand gesture back in 2008. Visiting the quaint village of Daulatpur in Uttar Pradesh, Big B promised to build a college named after his bahu, the ever-gorgeous Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Such a sweet saasur, right? But hold your horses! Things took a Bollywood-style dramatic turn.
Fast forward to 2012. The college was renamed to Aishwarya Bachchan Girls’ Inter College for upper-secondary students. Amitabh even sent a cheque of Rs. 5 lakhs to kickstart the construction. The task was handed over to the Nishtha Foundation, led by none other than Jaya Bachchan. But, alas! Reports say the foundation never actually built the college and blamed Amitabh Bachchan’s Seva Sansthan. 🤔
For over a decade, the villagers waited with bated breath, hoping to see the promised college materialize. But guess what? Nada, zilch, zero construction happened! Meanwhile, the villagers had no written proof or any latest recount from the Bachchan camp to explain the delay. Kya drama hai yaar!
Now, here’s the twist that would put any Bollywood script to shame. A village teacher’s father, fed up with the endless wait, donated 10,000 square meters of land. The villagers, showing true desi spirit, raised funds on their own and built a college right next to the abandoned plot. Talk about taking matters into your own hands! 👏
As for why Big B abandoned the project? Well, that remains a mystery tighter than a Bollywood thriller. No reports delve into the specifics, leaving us all hanging and wondering, "Aakhir hua kya?"
