Ananya Panday calls for Hema Committee across industries: ‘Looks like only women are stepping up’ | Hindi Movie News

Hey Bollywood Buffs! It’s your girl, Bollywood Newshound Nisha, back with the latest scoop. Grab your popcorn, because things are heating up in B-Town! đŸżđŸ”„

So, Ananya Panday, our very own Gen-Z diva, is not just busy promoting her debut web series Call Me Bae; she’s also got some serious thoughts on women’s safety in the film industry. Yep, you heard me right. In an interview, Ananya couldn’t stop gushing about the Hema Committee. She thinks every industry should have one of these committees to look out for women. 🙌

"It’s crucial for every industry to have a committee like the Hema Committee where women come together and make things happen," Ananya said. "Clearly, no one else is doing it but women. We’ve made some progress, but there’s still a long road ahead. There are much bigger battles to fight." đŸŽ€đŸ’„

Ananya also spilled the beans on how safety measures are now part of contracts and clauses to ensure women’s safety on sets. She mentioned that even their call sheets come with helpline numbers for filing complaints, anonymously if needed. However, she was quick to point out that this issue isn’t just limited to the film industry. "It’s important we address this as quickly as possible," she concluded. 📝🔐

Oh, and did I mention? Suhana Khan might have joined Ananya for a house party recently. Talk about celebrity filled BFF goals! ✹

On the work front, Ananya’s also busy with her next film, Shankara, a biopic with none other than Akshay Kumar. đŸŽ„ For those living under a rock, Call Me Bae is an eight-episode series featuring our favorite girl as Bella Chowdhary, aka Bae. It’s a light-hearted comedy-drama that follows her journey from a pampered heiress to a determined hustler. The series also boasts an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Gurfateh Pirzada, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur. 🎬

Nisha’s Nutshell: Moral of the story, folks? 🎭
In Bollywood, if you want something done right, leave it to the women! And remember, the journey from heiress to hustler is just a web series away. 😏✹
