Drumroll Please! Bollywood’s resident heartthrob Varun Dhawan and his better half Natasha just welcomed their first child, and it’s a girl! The proud grandpa and legendary filmmaker, David Dhawan, confirmed the news and gave a shout out to the paps for their well-wishes.
Oh, and the flood of celebrity congratulatory messages for the new parents was something to behold!
Among the first to express her excitement was Ananya Panday, Varun’s close pal. She took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message for the newborn. "Baby no. 1!!", she gushed, "Awesome people make awesome babies, and you guys are really awesome VDs and Nats. So much love for your baby girl.” What’s the acronym for ‘aww’ again?
Varun, being the gentleman he is, reshared Ananya’s post on his stories, thanking her for the lovely wish.
The ‘Student of the Year’ gang also joined in the celebration. Sidharth Malhotra poured his heart out on social media, "Congratulations, Varun and Natasha! What a wonderful blessing!" he wrote, "Big love and hug to you both and baby Dhawan." Alia Bhatt, on the other hand, shared her joy on Instagram. "Joy joy and pure joy! Another little girl who’s going to rule the world! Congratulations, dearest Nat and VD!" she posted.
For those living under a rock, Varun and Natasha tied the knot in a hush-hush ceremony in 2021. The couple had announced their pregnancy in February with a beautiful image where Varun is seen kissing Natasha’s baby bump. His caption, “We are pregnant. I need all your blessings and love,” melted hearts.
As a cherry on top, Varun’s mother Lali Dhawan treated the paparazzi with sweets. How’s that for a sugar rush?
