The announcement of the 97th Academy Awards nominations came with a bang, thanks to Bowen Yang and Rachel Sennott. Out of a whopping 180 films, only five made the cut. Besides Anuja, the others vying for the trophy are Alien, I’m Not a Robot, The Last Ranger, and A Man Who Would Not Remain Silent.

Anuja spins a tale around a nine-year-old girl hustling in a back-alley garment factory alongside her elder sister, Palak. The film dives deep into the choices she makes that could alter her and her family’s fate. Director Adam J Graves calls it "a heartfelt tribute to the resilience and untold stories of working children". 🎬
With a powerhouse team including Priyanka Chopra, Mindy Kaling, and Guneet Monga, this film promises to be a tear-jerker. Produced by Adam’s wife, Suchitra Mattai, and in collaboration with the Salaam Baalak Trust and Shine Global, the film stars Ananya Shanbhag, Sajda Pathan, and Nagesh Bhosle.
