According to him, while world cinema has started noticing our movies, it’s still a long road ahead. Most of the love comes from desi folks, both here and abroad. Basu says, "Our films have to travel beyond the Indian diaspora to truly go global. But right now, it’s just the Indian audience giving us all the pyaar."

The ‘Young’ Hindi Film Industry

Basu further compared our industry to the Korean film juggernaut, saying, "Hum toh abhi jawaan hai, like Korea’s film industry. But while they’ve got a global audience, we’re still waiting for the world to notice us beyond the weekend dhamakas of 100 crore and 500 crore box office dreams. Bas vahi tak hai!"

And for those eagerly waiting to swoon over Aashiqui 3 with Kartik Aaryan, hold your horses! Anurag revealed that shooting hasn’t even started yet. "We’re busy in pre-production and will kick off shooting next month," he shared. Patience, dosto, patience.
