So, our beloved maverick filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who’s currently making the rounds to promote his latest series, Bad Cop, has been dishing out some juicy tidbits about his rollercoaster journey in the Hindi film industry. In a recent tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte with comedian Samay Raina, he shared a rather bizarre encounter that left us all in splits.

Picture this: Anurag’s chilling at home, probably musing over his next gritty masterpiece, when the doorbell rings. He opens the door and—surprise, surprise—a complete stranger waltzes into his house like he owns the place. The audacity! This bold intruder then has the gall to ask Anurag to read his script. Yes, you heard that right. Walks in, no introductions, straight to business. 😂

"Ek bar toh ek aadmi mere ghar mein hi ghus gaya. Ghanti baji, darwaza khola, ghar mein ghus gaya. Bola ‘sir meri script padhlo’, toh maine kaha yaar ‘kaun hai tu?’" he recounted, probably half in disbelief even now.

Anurag’s Not-So-Polite Farewell 👋

Now, you’d think this guy would take a hint, but no. He keeps pleading with Anurag to read his script, even throwing in a sob story about his late father. Our no-nonsense filmmaker was having none of it. Anurag, being his candid self, expressed his condolences but made it clear that it didn’t mean he was obligated to read the script. Ouch!

"I said, ‘But that doesn’t mean I have to read your script’. I was literally being rude to the man and threw him out of my house. Aisa hota rehta hai mere sath," he added. Oh, the glamour of being a Bollywood director! 🌟

Anurag vs. Naseeruddin Shah: The Play That Didn’t Play Out 🎭

And if that wasn’t enough, Anurag also spilt the beans about how he once inadvertently ruffled the feathers of the legendary Naseeruddin Shah. Apparently, Shah wasn’t too thrilled when Anurag ditched his play to dive headfirst into Bollywood with his big break in the 1998 film Satya. Oops, talk about drama on and off the stage!

Anurag Kashyap, the mastermind behind cult classics like Gangs of Wasseypur, Gulaal, Ugly, Manmarziyaan, The Girl in Yellow Boots, Dev D, and Black Friday, continues to be a magnet for all things dramatic, both in his films and in real life.
