So, here’s the lowdown. Our beloved SRK, Katrina, and Anushka starrer, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, was a blockbuster back in 2012, Yash Chopra ji’s swan song, and all that jazz. But oh ho, what’s this? Javed Akhtar saab ne toh poora tandoor bana diya, roasting the film’s so-called feminist approach! 😆

In a recent chat on Be A Man, Yaar!, Akhtar saab didn’t hold back. He reminisced about a dialogue from the film where one of the heroines declares: "Mein duniya mein jitni nationalities hein, har nationality ke ek admi ke ladke ke saath sone ke baad shaadi karungi!" Matlab, really? Javed ji was quick to question, "Tu itni mehnat kyun karegi? Tu empowered hain, modern hain, cool hain? Maan jaate hain yaar, itni mehnat karne ki zaroorat nahi hain!" 😂

Javed Akhtar’s Roast Session:

Javed ji ne kaha, Indian cinema ko empowered ladki ka idea hi nahi hai, so they fake it. And he thinks Jab Tak Hai Jaan was a prime example of this faux empowerment. Imagine Katrina and Anushka’s reaction to this! SRK must be chuckling in his Mannat ki balcony right now.

Akhtar’s Takeaway:

Akhtar saab feels that Indian films sometimes go overboard trying to show empowerment. Matlab, exaggeration ka bhi limit hota hai, yaar!

Kiran’s Gyan:

"Bhai, Bollywood mein empowerment ka matlab hai heroine ka action scenes karna aur random dialogues maarna. Par asli empowerment toh tab hoti hai jab tum character ko depth dete ho, na ki bas dialogues mein!"
