While Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor are making their entry with Loveyapa on the 7th, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, and Rakul Preet are gearing up to dazzle us with Mere Husband Ki Biwi on February 21. The trailer is out, and let’s just say, it’s a rollercoaster ride from decent to disastrous and back to just about decent!
Arrey bhai, let me be straight with you: this trailer is like a biryani without masala—bland and confusing! The film is trying to be a comedy, with the actors making fun of themselves—a self-roast that might have been the talk of the town a decade ago but now feels as outdated as my dadi’s saree from the 60s!
But hold your horses, because Mere Husband Ki Biwi might still have a trick or two up its sleeve. Mudassar Aziz, the man behind the scenes, is known for his knack for comedy. Remember Happy Bhag Jayegi? That was some fun! So, maybe, just maybe, this film will tickle our funny bones if not break them!
Kya Scene Hai? Bhumi Pednekar plays Arjun Kapoor’s ex-wife, suffering from a condition that makes her forget the whole shaadi-divorce drama and go back to the proposal day! Rakul Preet, the soon-to-be wife, finds herself caught in this mess. It’s the classic two-women-one-man scenario where the ex turns needy, and the future wife becomes insecure—all because Arjun bhai can’t make up his mind!
The trailer tries very hard to sell this chaos as comedy, some jokes hit the mark, while others are as lost as a tourist in Chandni Chowk! But hey, there’s hope for Mudassar Aziz’s magic to work, because we’ve seen such films find their audience among those who love a bit of drama on their OTT screens.
And then there’s that one scene claiming the film is a love circle, not a triangle—seems like Bollywood’s geometry lessons need a bit of revision! Chemistry between the leads? MIA, folks! But who knows, maybe Valentine’s week will work its magic, as it did for Sanam Re back in the day!
