Hello, my lovely Bollywood aficionados! It’s your ever-nosy, witty, and slightly cynical Bollywood Newshound Nisha here, bringing you the latest spicy scoop from our glittering world of Hindi cinema.
So, our beloved Arshad Warsi has been causing quite the stir. Recently, Arshad decided to play film critic and took a swipe at Prabhas’ latest blockbuster, Kalki. Yep, you heard that right! In an interview with YouTuber Samdish Bhatia, Arshad didn’t hold back, calling Kalki a bad film and even comparing Prabhas to a joker. Ouch! 🎭
Arshad, honey, I get it, you’re entitled to your opinion, but perhaps you should’ve kept this one to yourself. The backlash from Prabhas’ army of fans has been nothing short of savage! One fan even trolled Arshad, saying, "The parking collection of Kalki is more than Arshad Warsi’s entire career earnings." Double ouch! Another fan chimed in, questioning, "Can someone remind me when Arshad last had a hit film?" Savage, right? 😅
And just when you thought it couldn’t get juicier, Arshad went on to praise Amitabh Bachchan, saying, "If I had the power that Amit Ji has, life would be made. He’s incredible, unbelievable." Oh, Arshad, always the fanboy! But seriously, comparing Prabhas to a joker and then gushing over Big B? Talk about a rollercoaster of opinions. 🎢
For those of you living under a rock, in Kalki, Prabhas plays a double role – one as Bhairava, a futuristic bounty hunter, and the other as Karna from the Mahabharata. Despite the criticism, Kalki has raked in a whopping ₹1100 crores worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film of the year. Not too shabby, eh?
Director Nag Ashwin announced Kalki back in February 2020, and it stars the formidable trio of Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone. With such a celebrity filled cast, it’s no wonder the film is a massive hit, despite Arshad’s less-than-glowing review.
On the professional front, Arshad was last seen in the web series Asur and Modern Love Mumbai. Currently, he’s working on Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay Kumar. Let’s hope this one fares better in the court of public opinion, shall we?
Nisha’s Nutshell:
In the world of Bollywood, opinions are like movie reviews – everyone’s got one, but not everyone should share it. And remember, while you may play the critic, the box office is the ultimate judge. 🎬💥
