“Bad Cop” Director Aditya Datt Spills the Beans: “Devaiah and Kashyap’s Bromance Off-Camera Made Filming a Cake-Walk!” – Your Daily Dose of Spicy Bollywood Gossip

Attention, Bollywood Buffs!

Get ready to have your popcorns popped and your couches warmed because Disney+ Hotstar is back at it again! They’ve got a new action-drama series under their sleeve and it’s called ‘Bad Cop.’ One of those good old cop vs. villain tales with the usual twists and turns, but this time with a dollop of Disney magic.

Our protagonist, Karan, is a hard-nosed cop, hot on the heels of Kazbe, a villain who’s as charming as he’s dangerous. All the while, Karan’s trying to juggle his relationships, because let’s face it, even Bollywood cops have a heart! The show is Fremantle India’s first fictional series production in India, and you can catch it on Disney+ Hotstar real soon.

In the director’s chair for Bad Cop, we have Aditya Datt, and the screenplay is penned by Rensil D’Silva. Now, take a deep breath because here’s where things get spicy. Anurag Kashyap, that’s right, the Anurag Kashyap, is playing the villain Kazbe, while Gulshan Devaiah will be seen as the tough cop Karan. The series also stars Harleen Sethi, Saurabh Sachdeva, and Aishwarya Sushmita. Quite a star-studded affair, don’t you think?

Now, let’s talk about what happens behind the scenes, shall we? According to director Aditya Datt, Gulshan Devaiah and Anurag Kashyap’s off-screen camaraderie worked wonders on the sets. Apparently, their long-standing friendship turned the usually gruelling shooting process into a walk in the park.

Aditya Datt shared, “When I was casting them, I was looking for the perfect fit for my characters. They both are sharing screen for the first time and technically, they only shot for a total of eight days together during the whole shoot. Their offscreen bond made the shooting process smoother than we had thought. I am sure they enjoyed shooting with each other and it will reflect in their onscreen roles as well.”

Now isn’t that something? When the off-screen chemistry is as good as the on-screen, you know you’re in for a treat.

Bollywood Moral of the Story:

In Bollywood, as in life, it’s all about the bonds we form…even if you’re playing a villain! And remember, folks, what happens off-screen doesn’t always stay off-screen, it makes the on-screen magic brighter too!
