So, recently our dear Bakhtiyaar decided to spill some beans on how he was set to be part of Sara Ali Khan’s historical biopic, Ae Watan Mere Watan. But guess what, folks? Last minute pe, our man was replaced by a "bigger name." Waah bhai waah, Bollywood aur tumhare "bigger names!" 🤦‍♀️

Bakhtiyaar’s Heartbreak

Picture this: Bakhtiyaar was all geared up for the role, losing 8 kgs—yes, 8 full kilos—just to fit into the 1940s "puny" look. Bhai ne apni diet aur workout ka poora khel jama diya tha. All excited, he even told his family and friends about the big break.

"Yeh Karan Johar ki film hai, yaar," Bakhtiyaar thought, feeling all optimistic. But alas, Bollywood ki duniya mein, kuch bhi ho sakta hai!

“Director ne bulaya, bola ki agle hafte contract sign karenge aur sab kuch set ho gaya tha. Main apne parivaar ko bata diya aur 30 logon ko bata diya, kyunki kya galat ho sakta hai?” Bakhtiyaar shared in his interview. Par phir kya, sab kuch golmaal ho gaya! 😞

The Big Replacement

Bakhtiyaar was supposed to play a Parsi guy, but then came the twist—“Bigger name, (not) a good actor…” He didn’t get any feedback, koi reason nahi diya gaya. Just like that, he was replaced.

Imagine the heartbreak, guys! “Bahut bada jhatka tha because it was a big opportunity for me,” he confessed.

About the Film

Now, the role Bakhtiyaar was eyeing went to Anand Tiwari, jo Firdaus Engineer ban ke chamke in the film. Anand, by the way, is all set to direct the upcoming Dharma film Bad Newz starring Vicky Kaushal, Triptii Dimri, and Ammy Virk.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan plays Usha Mehta in Ae Watan Mere Watan, a young woman who starts an underground radio station during the Quit India movement. Mixed reviews aaye, bhai log! Emraan Hashmi ki performance ko praise mila, but Sara’s portrayal? Not so much.
