Arrey haan, the same one jisne usse aur Hardik Pandya ko itna bada jhatka diya tha that they got suspended from the Indian cricket team. Bichara Rahul, kya din the woh! 😅
Remember when Hardik Pandya casually dropped the bombshell on Koffee With Karan? He proudly told his parents, “Aaj mai karke aaya.” Matlab, seriously? And if that wasn’t enough, when Karan Johar asked how they would handle hitting on the same woman, Rahul said he’d leave it to the lady. Lekin Pandya, being Pandya, went all, “Nahi nahi aisa kuch nahi hai, talent pe hota hai. Jisko mila woh leke jao.” Talk about foot-in-mouth syndrome! 😜
Naturally, their remarks created a storm. Fans aur critics ekdum se bhadak gaye, calling their comments “sexist, misogynistic, and racist.” Result? BCCI ne unko suspend kar diya, and they were kicked out of a three-match ODI series against Australia. Ouch!
So, KL Rahul recently spilled the beans in an interview with WTF is with Nikhil Kamath. He admitted that the whole fiasco left him pretty shaken. He’s become more reserved now, avoiding big groups and public appearances.
He confessed, “That Koffee With Karan interview scarred me massively. Getting suspended from the team—matlab yaar, I’ve never been suspended in school, never been punished. Choti-moti shaitaniyan ki thi, but nothing to get me expelled. That was my first fall and then you realize how bad it is.”
On a happier note, Rahul is now happily married to actress Athiya Shetty. So, at least uski personal life toh sorted hai! 🤷♀️
