March 15, 2025 – The news of veteran actor Deb Mukherjee’s passing at the age of 83 has left the Bollywood fraternity in mourning. With heavy hearts and fond memories, several stars made their way to Mumbai to pay their respects.
Kiara Advani and Ajay Devgn Lead the Tributes
Ayan Mukerji, the talented filmmaker, received support from his Bollywood friends as they gathered to honor his late father, Deb Mukherjee. Known for gracing the Durga Puja events hosted by Kajol and Rani Mukerji, Deb’s presence will be deeply missed. On Saturday, Kiara Advani and Ajay Devgn were spotted at Ayan’s residence, offering their condolences. Kiara, who recently announced her pregnancy, arrived in a chic oversized white outfit. Arey bhai, even in sorrow, Bollywood knows how to keep it stylish, no? 😎
Kiara’s involvement in Ayan’s upcoming film "War 2" alongside Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR has been making waves. Speaking of Hrithik, he too showed up, albeit with a clutch supporting his injured leg. Kya dedication hai, bhai! Injured or not, Bollywood commitments are no joke! 💪
Ajay Devgn: Family Comes First
Ajay Devgn, accompanied by his son Yug and family, made his way to Ayan’s home. Ajay, the quintessential family man, knows the importance of being there for friends in times of need. Kajol, his better half, was seen at the residence earlier, sharing a heartfelt hug with Jaya Bachchan. Bollywood, after all, is one big happy (and at times dramatic) family! 🎭
Deb Mukherjee was not only Ayan’s father but also the father-in-law of director Ashutosh Gowariker. His funeral, held at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu, saw a star filled attendance with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Anil Kapoor among those paying their respects.
