April 6, 2025 – Khabree Kiran here, your favorite Bollywood gossip queen, ready to spill the chai on the recent prayer meet for the legendary Manoj Kumar, aka Bharat Kumar, who left us all teary-eyed on Friday. The who’s who of Bollywood descended upon Mumbai to pay their respects, and of course, I was there in spirit, observing like a true Bollywood keeda! 🎥✨
Stars Gather to Honor an Icon
Arre bhai, when a legend like Manoj Kumar bids us adieu, it’s no surprise that the Bollywood brigade turns up in droves. Aamir Khan, the perfectionist himself, was spotted stepping out of his swanky car in a humble grey kurta and jeans, ready to offer his condolences. Aamir, kya baat hai, keeping it simple yet classy, as always!
And then there was Jaya Bachchan, looking serene in a white churidaar. She made her entrance with folded hands, sans Amitabh Bachchan, though Big B did make an appearance at the funeral, catching up with the legendary writer Salim Khan. Talk about old-school Bollywood camaraderie – those two were like long-lost yaar, sharing a warm hug and a quick chat.
The prayer meet was a star filled affair with Rakesh Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Krishika Lulla, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Esha Deol, and the melodious Sonu Nigam paying their respects. It’s a reminder of how Manoj Kumar’s work touched the hearts of so many in the industry.

Manoj Kumar, the man who brought patriotism to the silver screen like no other, left us at the ripe age of 87 due to age-related issues. His final journey was marked with full state honors and a three-gun salute – befitting for the man who immortalized ‘Bharat’ in films like Shaheed, Upkar, and Purab Aur Paschim. Bharat Kumar, you’ll be missed, but your legacy will live on in our hearts and our filmi memories.
