Madhur Bhandarkar’s Bargain Basement Bonanza!

Ye suno, Bollywood’s "aam aadmi" director, Madhur Bhandarkar, recently spilled the beans on how B-town’s divas Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor slashed their fees to work with him in Fashion and Heroine. Matlab, bade-bade actors itna sacrifice kar rahe hain, toh hum aam log kyu na karein? 😜

Entourage Expenses & Fee Fiascos

In a recent chit-chat with Hindi Movie News, Madhur Bhandarkar, known for his hard-hitting films on social issues, opened up about the ever-rising entourage costs. When asked if he faced any problems due to these costs, Madhur replied, “Sabhi female actors ne apni price slash ki jab unhone mere saath kaam kiya. Chandni Bar ke liye mere paas sirf ₹1.5 crore ka budget tha, Tabu ne koi fee nahi liya. She took money against Bombay or Delhi territory, and nothing else apart from that. She worked with such conviction. Raveena Tandon (Satta) and Bipasha Basu (Corporate) reduced their prices. Priyanka Chopra and Kareena Kapoor bhi apni fees slash ki. They didn’t charge the market price from me because they were keen on making these movies. The entire film was resting on their shoulders so everybody slashed their prices.”
