Bollywood’s Original Disco Dancer’s Ex, Helena Luke, Shimmies Off to the Afterlife in the US at the Tender Age of 68

Gather ’round, Bollywood buffs! It’s your favorite nosy Nisha here, ready to spill the latest tea from the land of glitz and glamor. Hold onto your popcorn because this one’s a rollercoaster! 🎢

In the bittersweet world of Bollywood, we bid farewell to Helena Luke, the actress who once dazzled us as the British queen in the Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster, Mard. She has left us for the starry skies above on November 3rd, across the pond in the US. The cause of her departure? Still a mystery, folks! Helena, who briefly wore the crown of Mrs. Mithun Chakraborty for a whole four months, penned her last cryptic musings on Facebook, saying she felt “weird” and “discombobulated.” Well, Helena, haven’t we all felt a bit like that in this Bollywood circus? 🤔

Kalpana Iyer, the dance floor diva, confirmed the news of Helena’s passing on social media. Helena, who swapped the silver screen for the skies, spent her later years jet-setting in the airline industry in the US. Despite her brief stint in tinsel town and a blink-and-you-miss-it marriage, she secured her place in the annals of Hindi cinema history.

Meanwhile, back in India, Mithun Chakraborty is basking in the glory of being the 54th recipient of the Dadasaheb Phalke Award. This prestigious accolade, named in honor of the father of Indian cinema, has been awarded to legends like Prithviraj Kapoor and Lata Mangeshkar. Mithun joins this illustrious league of extraordinary gentlemen and ladies. 🎖️

But the journey hasn’t been all smooth for our beloved Mithun. Earlier this year, he had a health scare, landing in a Kolkata hospital with chest pains. He was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident. Yikes! Glad to report that our Disco Dancer bounced back to health and was last seen gracing the silver screen in the Bengali film ‘Kabuliwala,’ directed by Suman Ghosh.

With a Padma Bhushan already in his kitty, Mithun’s journey is nothing short of legendary. Yet, as the spotlight shines on him, the shadows of yesteryear’s memories, like those of Helena, linger in the background.

Nisha’s Nutshell: In the Bollywood saga, marriages might be shorter than a coffee break, but legacies? They last longer than the credits in a Karan Johar film! Keep your chin up, darlings, because in this world of lights, camera, and unpredictability, the show must go on! 🌟
