Born with a Permanent Doctor’s Note

Lights, camera, action! Welcome to another episode of Bollywood Binge with your truly irreverent Bollywood Newshound Nisha! đŸ€“đŸŽŹ

Oh, Nana Patekar, you never fail to drop truth bombs that hit harder than your on-screen punches! In his latest tĂȘte-Ă -tĂȘte with Lallantop, our veteran star spilled the beans about a heartbreakingly personal chapter of his life. Nana revealed the sorrow of losing his elder son, Durvasa, who was born with severe health issues. “My eldest son was sick since birth. He had some health complications. He had trouble in one eye; it wasn’t visible. I felt so disgusted that when I saw him, I thought about what people would think, what kind of son Nana has. I didn’t think about what he felt or how he felt. I only thought about what people would think about my son,” he confessed. Oh Nana, always brutally honest, even with himself. 😱💔

As if life hadn’t thrown enough curveballs his way, Nana also found himself excluded from the latest chapter of the Welcome franchise. Yes, you heard it right! At the trailer launch of The Vaccine War, when asked about his conspicuous absence from Welcome 3, he wryly remarked, “I am not a part of it, maybe they think hum bahut puraane ho gaye hai (I have become outdated).” Talk about a double whammy! đŸ˜’đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž

For those who need a refresher, Nana Patekar is a three-time National Film Award winner, gracing us with stellar performances in films like Natsamrat, Wajood, Parinda, Ab Tak Chhappan, and Yeshwant. Recently, he took on the role of Balram Bhargava, former director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), in The Vaccine War. Yes, the man can go from playing a gangster to a scientist without breaking a sweat! đŸ§Ș🎭

The film, which hit theatres on September 28 last year, was another feather in his already feather-loaded cap. Hats off to you, Nana! đŸŽ©âœš

Nisha’s Nutshell: Life in Bollywood is as unpredictable as a monsoon in Mumbai. One day you’re the king of the screen, the next, you’re “outdated.” But hey, if Nana Patekar can handle it all with a smirk and a punchline, so can we! The moral? Keep your script tight, your punches tighter, and always remember—Bollywood waits for no one! 😉🎬
