Box Office Battle: Himesh’s ‘Badass Ravikumar’ Edges Out Junaid’s ‘Loveyapa’ in Close Showdown | Bollywood Banter

Lights, camera, and a whole lot of drama! Bollywood’s box office saw a clash of titans—or maybe not so titanic—this past weekend. Stepping into the ring were Himesh Reshammiya’s action-packed ‘Badass Ravikumar’ and the love saga ‘Loveyapa’ featuring fresh faces Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Grab your popcorn, because Khabree Kiran is about to spill the beans with her signature tadka!

Box Office Battle! 🥊

Arrey bhai, toh kya scene hai? The opening bell rang on Friday, but both movies seemed to have left their boxing gloves at home. ‘Badass Ravikumar’ managed to throw a few punches, raking in ₹0.60 crore on Monday, but quickly lost steam, dropping to ₹0.44 crore by Tuesday. With a total collection of ₹7.19 crore, it’s barely hanging in the ring. Meanwhile, ‘Loveyapa’ wasn’t exactly a love story with the audience. It took home ₹0.55 crore on Monday and slipped to ₹0.45 crore by Tuesday, with a total of ₹5.55 crore. Talk about a dhobi pachad!

While ‘Badass Ravikumar’ had a weekend head start with ₹6.15 crore, ‘Loveyapa’ was playing catch-up at ₹4.55 crore. Occupancy rates were a bummer too, with ‘Badass Ravikumar’ at 5.85% and ‘Loveyapa’ at 7.38%. Kahaan gaye sab log?

The Films in Focus 🎬

Meet the newcomers! ‘Loveyapa’ is the big screen debut of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor. Produced by the Phantom Films duo, Madhu Mantena and Srishti Behl, it’s a quirky tale about a couple-to-be entangled in a phone-swapping mess cooked up by the girl’s dad. With veterans like Ashutosh Rana and Kiku Sharda in the mix, you’d think it’d be a hit. But, alas, pacing issues have left it a bit like a slow-motion scene from a ’90s flick.

On the flip side, Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Badass Ravikumar’ is a musical action flick that spun off from the 2014 film ‘The Xposé’. It’s got all the masala—Prabhu Deva, Kirti Kulhari, Johnny Lever, and more. But critics say it’s like a dhamaal on our senses, and not in a good way. Director Keith Gomes makes his film debut here, but this seems more like a warm-up round.

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood Ki Kahani Mein Twist!

Bollywood is like a box of mixed ladoos—some are sweet, some are not-so-sweet, and some just leave you wondering, "Yeh kya tha?" One thing’s for sure, whether it’s a hit or a miss, the drama is never-ending. So, my dosto, keep your popcorn ready, because you never know when the next blockbuster—or blunder—will hit the screens! 🍿
