Yeh suno, doston! Khabree Kiran yahan hai, aapki Bollywood ki ultimate gossip queen, bringing you the latest buzz from B-town with a dash of masala and a sprinkle of sarcasm!
Picture this: The eternal debate between North and South cinema in India, now spiced up by none other than our very own King Khan, Shah Rukh! Ab toh mazaa aayega, na?
North vs South: Kaun Jitega?
The post-pandemic era has been quite the tamasha for Indian cinema. Hindi-dubbed South films have been rocking the box office, while some Bollywood biggies were left scratching their heads. Aur ab, the king himself, Shah Rukh Khan, has broken his silence on this epic clash. Well, when King Khan speaks, the world listens, right?
Jawan: A Pan-India Blockbuster
In 2023, Shah Rukh teamed up with Tamil director Atlee for the first time with Jawan, featuring Tamil stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. The film was a smashing hit, grossing over 1100 crores globally! đ± Some people credited the Southâs filmmaking technique for this success. But Shah Rukh, being the diplomatic Badshah that he is, sees it all as Indian cinema.
King Khan at Locarno Film Festival
During a chat at the Locarno Film Festival, SRK said, âFor years, the idea of âregionalizingâ Indian cinema seemed wrong to me. Hamara desh itna bada hai, we donât just have different dialects â we have entirely different languages. Itâs all Indian cinema, and some of the greatest storytelling in India comes from the South.â
South Cinema: Technical Mastery
Shah Rukh Khan further praised South cinemaâs technical brilliance, saying, âCinematically and technically, South cinema is really fantastic. With hits like Jawan, RRR, and Baahubali, the world is finally starting to notice what weâve always known in India.â He enjoyed working with Atlee on Jawan, describing it as an exciting new experience.
Larger-Than-Life Heroes
âSouth cinema has a specific style, with larger-than-life heroes and lots of music. I really enjoyed that. It was a new experience for me, and I even found myself asking my kids if I looked okay on screen because it felt like I was part of something grand,â added the superstar. Arre wah! King Khan getting filmi feels â thatâs something!
Whatâs Next for King Khan?
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to star in King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh, which will start shooting this November. Ready for another blockbuster, SRK?
Kiranâs Gyan: Bollywood ka Gyaan
Arre bhai, Bollywood mein toh sab chalta hai! North ho ya South, akhir sab apna hi hai. Cinema toh bas ek bahana hai, asli mazaa toh filmy gossip mein hai! Aur jab tak SRK jaise superstars hain, humare paas drama ki kami kabhi nahi hogi!
