Chunky Panday Reflects on His Career’s ‘Vanishing Act’ with Shah Rukh and Salman Khan’s Bollywood Arrival | Bollywood Tales

Ah, Bollywood, where stars are born every other Friday, and careers can disappear faster than the latest TikTok trend! Our dear Chunky Panday, the OG of the 80s and 90s, recently spilled the chai on his journey through the glitzy maze of Hindi cinema. And no, doston, it’s not just about the Khans!

Chunky Panday Reflects on His Legacy

Picture this: The year is 1987, and a young, dashing Chunky Panday is the talk of the town. But soon, stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Salman Khan start dropping into Bollywood like confetti at a shaadi. Arre wah, kya zamaana tha! Our man Chunky admits he was caught in the blinding stardust of these superstars. In an interview with SCREEN, he reminisced about this rollercoaster ride, where his honeymoon phase lasted just about a year—1988 to be exact—before things started to get a little dimdim.

Chunky recalls, "I got lost when the galaxy was exploding." Talk about cosmic Bollywood drama! But here’s the twist—he doesn’t point fingers at anyone else for his career’s ups and downs. The man owns it like a true sport. "I was the young blood wanting to keep working, but I couldn’t really map out my career. Priorities, you know?" he says, adding that if given a chance, he’d do it all over again. And why not? The ups and downs are all part of the filmi fun, after all!

The Rollercoaster Career

Chunky Panday’s Bollywood journey is like that of a masala film—filled with highs and lows, comedy and drama. He started as a solo hero, turning heads with hits like Aankhen in 1993, but soon found himself shuffled to second lead roles. Ajeeb kahaani hai! Yet, in 2010, just when you thought he’d vanished into the archives, he made a smashing comeback as Aakhri Pasta in the Housefull series. And guess what? He’s reprising his role for the fifth installment. Because once a Pasta, always a Pasta! 🍝

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood’s game of musical chairs can leave you dizzy, but hey, if you keep dancing, you’ll eventually find a seat. Just make sure it’s not a plastic one! 😜

So, here’s a toast to Chunky, who proves that in Bollywood, it’s not about how you start but how you make your comebacks count. Kya pata, kal kya hoga!
