So, Disney+ Hotstar has just served us a piping hot trailer for "Commander Karan Saxena," starring none other than the dashing Gurmeet Choudhary, the ever-so-suave Iqbal Khan, and the fierce Hruta Durgule. Directed by Jatin Wagle and produced by Keylight Productions, this series is based on a character by the acclaimed writer Amit Khan. The plot? A fearless RAW agent dives headfirst into a political conspiracy to save the nation. Because, of course, Bollywood wouldnât have it any other way!
About the Trailer
The trailer is basically a rollercoaster of suspense, threats, and betrayal. Youâll be biting your nails, trust me. Director Jatin Wagle says, "The story of Commander Karan Saxena is intriguing, and Iâve always wanted to do something like this. Amit Khanâs character has so much life in him. Cast Spills the Beans
Gurmeet Choudhary, our very own Commander Karan Saxena, is all emotional about his role. "Commander Karan Saxena is incredibly special to me. I deeply admire all the officers who wholeheartedly serve our nation. Portraying a character inspired by these heroes is a tremendous honor for me. Karan, my character embodies dedication, hard work, and courage-qualities Iâve always aspired to embody myself and bringing him to life on screen has only strengthened these traits within me. Then thereâs Iqbal Khan, playing the ISI Chief Nasir, who says, "This is one of the most menacing yet charming characters Iâve played. Nasir is bold, aggressive and is driven by wholehearted passion and unwavering faith. Through Nasir, Iâve had the opportunity to explore character traits completely different from who I am in real life, it was a challenging experience. Jatin, my director, ensured that my character is both real and larger-than-life and itâs a tough task which he did absolute justice to. And letâs not forget Hruta Durgule, who plays Rachana, the fierce female police officer. She says, "The story of Commander Karan Saxena and my character, Rachana has been an inspiration in some ways for me. As a female police officer, she not only stands her ground but fights with an unexpected ferocity, in a male dominated profession.
