Who would have thought that making movies in Bollywood could leave you penniless? Well, Devashish Makhija certainly didn’t. Our dear director of ‘Joram,’ ‘Bhonsle,’ and ‘Ajji’ has found himself in a financial pickle so sour, he can’t even afford the jar anymore!

In a recent heart-to-heart (well, more like a heart-to-wallet) interview with YouTube channel Long Live Cinema, Devashish spilled the beans on his dire financial state. Brace yourselves for a reality check, folks: "After ‘Joram,’ I’m broke. Like, can’t-pay-rent broke. I’m not even sure if I can pay my cook next month," he lamented. Oh, the drama! 🎭
No Office, No Problem?
Imagine this: You’re an actor, and you get an invite from Devashish. "Where’s your office?" you ask. "Office? I don’t have one. How about meeting at a coffee shop? ‘Joram’ – The Financial Black Hole
Released on February 1, 2023, ‘Joram’ featured the ever-talented Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role. But alas, the film flopped harder than a fish out of water. Poor Devashish was left to pick up the pieces, and unfortunately, those pieces were not dollar bills.
