Kya pata tha ki ek din Hema Malini ka ek chhota sa comment itna bada hungama khada kar dega? A day after Hema jiâs comments on Vinesh Phogatâs weight made headlines, Dharmendra ne apni "darling daughter" Vinesh ke liye ek heartfelt message share kiya.
Phogat, who was disqualified from the 2024 Paris Olympics for being 100 gm over the 50 kg limit, was praised by the veteran actor-politician for her bravery and spirit.
"Darling daughter Vinesh, hum sabko bohot dukh hua ye sunkar," wrote Dharmendra on Instagram. "You are a brave adventurous daughter of the soil. We love you and always pray for your health and happiness. Be happy, healthy, and strong for your family and your loving people."
Hema Malini ka "Silly" Comment!
Hema ji, jo BJP MP bhi hain Mathura se, got into a bit of trouble with her candid advice on weight management. "It is important to keep your weight in check," she said. "It is a good learning for all of us that even 100 gm also matters a lot. We feel sad for her, I wish she loses that 100 gm quickly, but milega nahi abhi."
Bas phir kya tha, social media pe logon ne unhe "insensitive" aur "badly timed" comments ke liye troll kar diya. Waise bhi, Bollywood aur controversies toh jaise ek hi sikke ke do pehlu hain!
Damage Control Mode On
Hema ji ne jaldi se apne post ko thoda mellow kar diya aur X pe likha, "Vinesh Phogat, the whole nation rallies behind you! You are our heroine of this Olympics. Do not lose heart- you are meant for great achievements and you have a bright future ahead of you! Just carry on bravely."
Phogat, who announced her retirement on social media, wrote an emotional note addressing her mother. "Ma, wrestling has won, I have lost. Please forgive me, your dreams and my courage, everything is broken. I donât have any more strength now. Goodbye wrestling 2001-2024."
