Akshay’s Welcome 3 Delayed? Say it Ain’t So!
Dearest readers, it seems like the rollercoaster ride that is Bollywood just can’t stop throwing us for a loop. Our beloved Khiladi, Akshay Kumar, and his much-anticipated flick Welcome 3—or as they fancy calling it, Welcome To The Jungle—might just miss its rendezvous with Santa this Christmas. Can you believe it? 🌲🎅
Now, before you start hyperventilating, let me break it down for you. This third installment, directed by Ahmed Khan, follows the comedic chaos of Welcome Back (2015) and Welcome (2007). With a star-studded cast and a budget that could probably buy a small island, it’s no wonder everyone’s on the edge of their seats for this one. But, alas, the movie gods might have other plans. 🙄
So what’s the tea? Apparently, the movie’s grand scale has slowed things down. A source (who shall remain mysterious, because duh, it’s Bollywood) spilled the beans, saying, “Welcome 3 has been shot on a lavish scale. The first schedule wrapped in May in Aarey, Maharashtra. But with more schedules and a truckload of VFX work pending, a December 20 release is looking like a pipe dream.”

For those living under a rock, Akshay Kumar is teaming up with a gang of legends like Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Paresh Rawal, Arshad Warsi, and more. Can we say epic? But if this delay is true, Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par will be dancing solo at the box office this Christmas. And considering Aamir’s last disaster, Laal Singh Chaddha, he could use the extra love and space. 🥲
