In a candid chit-chat with Zoom, Boney Kapoor spilled the beans about a movie that could have been a blockbuster, starring none other than the Punjabi munda Diljit Dosanjh opposite our very own Desi Girl, Priyanka Chopra Jonas. Boney sahab shared, "I’m proud of Diljit. Uski mehnat rang laayi hai, and what he’s achieving is remarkable."
Picture this: A few years back, before Priyanka took over the US and became the queen of Quantico, Boney had a plan—a plan so big that he waited patiently for her nod. He reminisced, "For a good one and a half to two years, we held onto hope. Priyanka used to say, ‘Script mere paas hai, roz raat ko sochti hoon iske baare mein.’ And guess who was chosen to play her pati on-screen? The ever-charming Diljit!"
