Dilip Kumar’s Eternal Battle with Insomnia: Saira Banu Shares He Stayed Up All Night Despite Medication | Bollywood

Arre bhaiyo aur behno, Khabree Kiran here, your Bollywood gossip queen with a twist! Today, we dive into the lives of the legendary Dilip Kumar and his beloved Saira Banu. Ready for some spicy tidbits? Let’s roll!

What Saira Revealed

"Arre suno, doston! Sahib (Dilip Kumar) was the maharaja of acting, but did you know he battled severe insomnia? Haan ji, you heard it right! Even with sleeping pills, the poor guy was awake till dawn before marriage," Saira ji spills the beans. "But after shaadi, everything changed. He’d lovingly call me his ‘sleeping pill’ and ‘pillow.’ Imagine Dilip Kumar, the tragedy king, needing me to catch some z’s! Haha, I still laugh at the way he said it," she reminisced.

And there’s more! One evening, Sahib tried to sneak away from a musical gathering at home to get some shut-eye. Poor guy still couldn’t sleep and wrote me a note saying, "Feeling sleepy, what do you suggest, Aunty? …Yours 100%." 😄 She even shared a picture of this adorable note. Classic, na?

The Social Butterfly

Saira ji further revealed, "Sahib had some serious dostana going on with the country’s big shots! From Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and even sportsmen. He was a football and cricket aficionado. If not an actor, he would have made it as a top-notch sportsman. Kya baat hai!"

She added, "I pen this note to thank all his admirers who shower us with love and remember our special dates. It’s heartwarming to see how Dilip Sahib continues to inspire generations of actors and fans alike."

A Glimpse into Their Lives

Dilip Kumar, born on December 11, 1922, started his acting journey with the 1944 film Jwar Bhata. Remember his iconic roles in Jugnu, Andaz, Mughal-E-Azam, Devdas? The legend passed away on July 7, 2021, but his legacy lives on.

Saira Banu, the beauty who debuted in 1961 with Junglee opposite Shammi Kapoor, bagged several Hindi Movie News nominations. From Bluff Master to Padosan and Hera Pheri, she’s been a part of some unforgettable films.

Kiran’s Gyan

"Kya karein, doston? Bollywood is a world where even the biggest stars need a ‘sleeping pill’ named Saira! So, next time you can’t sleep, maybe try finding your very own Saira! 😉"

Alright, filmy folks, that’s all for today from Khabree Kiran! Until next time, keep your eyes peeled and your popcorn ready. Toodles!
