Brace yourselves, folks! đ Sonakshi Sinha has tied the knot with Zaheer Iqbal in a hush-hush ceremony at her swanky Bandra apartment. Yep, you read that right. The wedding bells rang on Sunday, and they threw a lavish reception at Bastian, Dadar. Because, why not?
In true Bollywood fashion, Sonakshi dazzled in a stunning red saree, complete with sindoor and red choora, while Zaheer opted for a pristine white kurta set. They arrived hand-in-hand, glowing like they just stepped out of a Yash Chopra film. And of course, they posed for the paparazzi with those million-dollar smiles. The couple registered their marriage under the Special Marriage Act at Sonakshiâs new digs, 81 Aureate, which is poshly perched near the Rang Sharda Auditorium in Bandra West. Shatrughan Sinha, the proud papa, couldnât hold back his joy (or the clichĂ©s). He gushed to the media, "Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe (May their union stay strong forever)." Cue the violins. đ»
For those living under a rock, Sonakshi and Zaheer co-starred in the 2022 film Double XL and have been an item for more than seven years. So, this wedding wasnât exactly a plot twist.
