“Yaaron ka yaar” Aditi says, "Friendship is hard to define because it means so many things. A friend could be someone you can be silly with but also someone you can be sad with. Someone who is there through the easy stuff and the difficult. Above all, I think friendship is a space without judgement." Haan yaar, kahan milte hain aise dost?

Virtual Hangout on Friendship Day

This 25 saal ki chulbuli ladki is planning to video call her closest pals since they’re all scattered in different cities. Video call ka zamana hai bhai! When they’re all in town, they usually chill at someone’s house and catch up over drinks. Cheers to that! 🍹

Who’s Who in Dot’s Dosti Circle?

Aditi’s BFFs include Shibangi and Aksha. She says, "Shibangi and I grew up in Delhi together. She’s Bengali, so every year during [Durga] Pujo she used to take me to her society to eat puchkas. Later, when we became friends with Aksha in Mumbai, we extended this ritual to her and it has become a kind of tradition.” Ah, the sacred puchka bond! 👯‍♂️

Kitties of Friendship

When asked if her friends ever complain about not spending enough time together, Dot says, "I don’t think that ever happened. My friends are like cats. They like it when I am around but don’t complain if I am gone. We all lead very separate lives, so we appreciate the moments we get to spend time together.” Sounds like a purr-fect friendship, doesn’t it? 🐱

Just Be Yourself, Bolly Style!

For those looking to make friends in the indie music scene or Bollywood, Dot advises, “The indie music scene is an extremely welcoming place in India. So, I’d say just come for gigs, be yourself and you are sure to make good friends. In terms of the film industry, I think you just need to be yourself. People get a little lost sometimes trying to network too much.” Haan bhai, asli bano, copycat nahi!

A Musical Ode to Friendship

Dot’s friendships have even inspired her music. “There have been times when I’ve had to really be there for a friend, which shaped my ability to listen. Professionally too, since a lot of my friends are artists and musicians, I end up collaborating with them regularly,” she says. In fact, she’s even penned a song about friendship called "Girls Night," inspired by her escapades with Shibangi and Aksha. Hawwa directed the music video, and it’s a fun pop track! 🎤

Kiran’s Gyan

“Bollywood mein dosti ho toh Dot jaisi – no drama, only dhamaal!”

Arrey bhai, that’s all for today! Stay tuned for more filmy gupshup from your one and only Khabree Kiran. Until then, keep your dosti strong and your popcorn ready! 🍿
