Gippy bhai revealed at the trailer launch of his latest film, Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di, that Aamir Khan, in his quest for a Punjabi writer for Laal Singh Chaddha, approached him. However, Gippy, being the smart cookie he is, declined. Ab yeh baat toh sabko pata hai ki Aamir bhai is a perfectionist and takes forever to finalize a script. Gippy ne socha, "Bhai, main toh 4-5 ghante mein likh leta hoon, Aamir ko toh din lag jayenge!"

Gippy reminisced, "Aamir bhai ne bola, ‘Laal Singh Chaddha ke liye ek Punjabi writer chahiye. Interested?’ Maine kaha, ‘Main itna accha nahi likhta. Main aapko ek writer de deta hoon’! Mujhe pata tha ki Aamir paaji bahut time lagate hai (laughs)." 😆

Although Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t exactly set the box office on fire, it did find a cozy spot on OTT platforms, especially Netflix. The film, a remake of the Hollywood classic Forrest Gump, featured Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, Mona Singh, and Manav Vij. The music tracks like ‘Tere Hawaale’ and ‘Kahani’ also managed to win some hearts.

Meanwhile, Gippy is all set for the release of his new film Ardaas Sarbat De Bhale Di on September 13. Jasmin Bhasin, Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, Nirmal Rishi, and Prince Kanwaljit Singh join him in this venture. The trailer has already created quite a buzz among fans.
