Farah Khan’s Emotional Tribute to Her Mother, Menaka Irani

Farah Khan’s beloved mother, Menaka Irani, has passed away after battling through multiple surgeries. 💔 On July 26, this lovely lady left us, and Farah had some heart-touching words to say about her.
‘We would be different people’
In a candid chat, Farah opened up about her mom in a segment called ‘With a little help from my friends’. She went all emotional saying, “I know I don’t say it often that I love you. If you were not in my life, if you were not the kind of person that you are, then Sajid and I would be different people. I know the hardships you have gone through to make sure that we were educated properly; that was important for us.”
Awww, Farah! You’re melting our hearts yaar! 😢 She went on to say how Menaka’s honesty and humor shaped her life. “The values that you’ve instilled in us. I know you’re the most honest I’ve ever met. And the sense of humour that you have, the joy with which you live your life, it moulded me. If I become half the woman that you are, I’ll be very proud,” she added. Did someone say ’tissues’?
This emotional interview happened right after Farah made her big switch from choreography to directing with the superhit Main Hoon Na, starring none other than Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty, Amrita Rao, and Zayed Khan. Remember that blockbuster? Of course, you do! 🎬✨
Menaka dies weeks after birthday
Now, here’s where it gets even more heart-wrenching. Menaka just celebrated her 79th birthday on July 12. Farah’s birthday message was something special. She wrote, “This last month has been a revelation on how much i lov my mom Menka.. she s been the strongest, bravest person iv ever seen.. sense of humour intact even after multiple surgeries. Happy birthday mom! Today’s a good day to come back home. can’t wait for you to get strong enough to start fighting with me again.. I love you.”
And let’s not forget our buddy Sajid, who also penned a heartfelt note, “Happy Birthday mummy…”
