Picture this: it’s the year 2000, our man Hugh is all set for his big break, but he feels he’s totally bombed his audition! 😱 Enter Kevin Feige, the Marvel mastermind himself, who decided to treat Hugh to a steak dinner. Talk about a fancy consolation prize! 🥩💼
A Blast from the Past
Back in 2000, Kevin Feige was just another Marvel employee with a deep knowledge of the Marvel Universe. Meanwhile, Hugh Jackman was about to become the Wolverine we all know and love. Fast forward to today, and the bromance between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh is about to hit the big screen again in Deadpool & Wolverine!
The Steak Dinner Saga
In a chat with Entertainment Weekly (via Cinemablend), Hugh opened up about his first audition for Logan. Our desi Wolverine was convinced he had messed up his shot at stardom. Kevin Feige, then just a producer’s assistant, was at the audition. Instead of letting Hugh sulk in despair, Feige offered to take him out for dinner with the screenwriter.
Hugh fondly recalled telling Kevin, "Kevin, we all know I’m not getting the part. You don’t have to do dinner." But Feige, being the gem he is, insisted and even drove Hugh to the airport afterwards. Imagine! All this while Hugh thought he would never see Feige again. Lol, little did he know, Feige would become the head honcho of Marvel Studios, orchestrating the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe!
Deadpool & Wolverine: The Reunion
And now, folks, the wait is almost over. Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds are back, and their latest Marvel adventure, Deadpool & Wolverine, is about to hit theaters on July 26, 2024. Mark your calendars, yaar!
