‘If The Movie Was My Creation, I’d…’

Ah, Bollywood! The land where love stories are brewed with extra masala and a dash of melodrama. Today’s juicy tidbit is about a certain Bhai of Bollywood, Salman Khan, and his not-so-secret grumbles over the climax of the 1999 classic, "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam."

This Sanjay Leela Bhansali masterpiece might be a timeless favorite, but did you know our very own Salman was a bit miffed with the film’s ending? Haan haan, you’ve heard it right! Salman, with his heart on his sleeve, wasn’t thrilled about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s character, Nandini, choosing her pati parmeshwar, Vanraj (played by Ajay Devgn), over his charming Sameer.

In a throwback chit-chat, Bhai revealed his discontent. "Arre yaar, love should conquer all traditions, na?" he said, clearly not vibing with Bhansali’s vision of a ‘depressive high.’ Salman believed that Nandini should’ve ditched her pati and eloped with her true love, Sameer. "If I had been the captain of this ship, Nandini would have sailed away with Sameer," he boldly declared. Picture him as the director, and voila, a different movie altogether! 😂

For those who missed the drama, the film’s climax had Nandini going back to her husband, despite Vanraj’s noble efforts to reunite her with Sameer. It was an ending that left many, including Bhai fans, saying "Arre yeh kya ho gaya?"

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood mein, love stories are like chai – everyone has their own recipe. But remember, in the end, it’s all about who holds the chai ki pyaali! 🫖
