Let’s rewind to the ongoing Hyundai India Couture Week 2024, where Sobhita lit up the ramp for designer Rimzim Dadu. Wearing a white Baroque-style cutout top with beads and crystals, and a maxi fringe-trimmed skirt, she looked like a million bucks! 💃✨ Sobhita described being the designer’s muse as an "amazing experience," saying she felt like a part of someone’s canvas. Wah, kya baat hai!
Dadu’s collection, "Stucco," was nothing short of a visual treat. The show started with a live violin performance and featured white statues that seemed to come alive as the models strutted down the ramp. The color palette was a rainbow of silver, green, blue, pink, and orange. Sarees, lehengas, dresses, evening gowns, and even men’s formals and kurtas-pyjamas adorned the stage, all rich in embroidery, crystals, and beadwork. The central detail? Fringe trims, of course! 🤩
Dadu shared that her inspiration came from Baroque architecture. "It is unlike what I always do. Baroque has been depicted in fashion many times, but this time I wanted to take something very traditional but keep it like my own experimental modern twist," she told PTI. She mixed her signature materials like steel wires and metal cords with traditional zardozi work, creating a fusion that was truly mesmerizing.
