Janhvi Kapoor’s Movie Update: The Saga Continues…

New Delhi: After a promising weekend, it looks like "Ulajh" couldn’t quite keep its momentum at the box office. Monday and Tuesday saw the spy thriller’s collections take a nosedive, managing to rake in just Rs 0.65 crore on its fifth day. According to reports, the film, directed by Sudhanshu Saria, has now crossed the Rs 6 crore mark domestically, standing at a respectable albeit not spectacular Rs 6.20 crore.

The movie stars Janhvi Kapoor as Suhana Bhatia, a young IFS officer who stands out as the only woman at the Indian High Commission in London. The film is backed by Vineet Jain’s Junglee Pictures.

Oh, the drama! In the film’s climax, Janhvi is seen running barefoot on a jagged road. Director Sudhanshu Saria revealed that this high-stakes scene was shot in Bhopal, not London. The night before the shoot, torrential rain destroyed the set, leaving them with a tight schedule to rebuild and shoot the crucial scene. Talk about Bollywood drama behind the scenes! 🎬

"As soon as the camera started rolling, Janhvi became so absorbed in her role that every step she took reflected her character, Suhana," Saria said. By the end of the shoot, despite visible injuries from running barefoot, she was so engrossed in her character that she barely felt the pain. The actress transformed seamlessly from a polished diplomat to a rugged officer, defending her country—talk about method acting!

Meanwhile, the critics have had their say. Saibal Chatterjee gave "Ulajh" a lukewarm 2.5 out of 5 stars. If you’re curious about the reasons to watch this film, check out the full review.

Besides Janhvi, the film also stars Roshan Mathew, Gulshan Devaiah, Adil Hussain, and Meiyang Chang in pivotal roles. If you’re still on the fence about watching it, maybe these performances will tip the scale for you.

Nisha’s Nutshell:
Bollywood, where even the rain has a flair for drama! 📽️ Moral of the story? Sometimes, the off-screen action is just as thrilling as the on-screen spectacle. And remember, in Bollywood, the show always goes on, rain or shine!
