Picture this: The Bachchan clan seated together, celebrating Harivansh Rai Bachchan’s 80th birthday. Sab log has rahe hain, masti kar rahe hain. Aur tabhi, Jaya Bachchan ne ek dark joke maar diya. Sasurji par! Kya baat hai, Jaya ji, aap toh kuch zyada hi bold ho gayi thi. 😂
Amitabh Bachchan, in his usual style, started the whole thing by discussing some quirky age-related phrases from UP. Bhai, Big B ne apne father se pucha, “Aap jab 60 saal ke huye the tab humne ek utsav kiya tha tab ye vaakya nikla tha – jab saatha tab paatha.” Phir pucha, “80 saal ka ho jaata hai jab insaan tab kya kaha jaata hai.” Sasurji ne jawab diya, “Assi to lapsi.” Teji Bachchan, who was as confused as a cat in a dog show, asked, “Lapsi kya hota hai?”
And here comes the punchline! Jaya Bachchan thought she’d add some extra mirch-masala to the convo. She asked her father-in-law, “100 ke ho jaayenge tab kya kehte hain?” And before anyone could digest this, she added, “Ki jab Aap 100 ke hoge toh aap toh nai bol payege na.. Toh hum bolege na.” 😅 Oh my, Jaya ji!
Teji Bachchan, being the no-nonsense MIL, immediately snapped back, “Kyon, kyon nahi bolege, khub bolege.” Amitabh Bachchan was left scratching his head, probably thinking, “Yeh sab kya ho raha hai bhai?”
