New Delhi:

Remember that adorable kid from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham who played the offspring of Bollywood royalty Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol? Well, Jibraan Khan is all grown up and ready to make his grand Bollywood debut with Ishq Vishk Rebound.

At a recent event, where the much-anticipated trailer of Ishq Vishk Rebound was finally unveiled, Jibraan gushed about his past role. "It’s been an honour and privilege to have played their child at such a young age," he said, clearly soaking in the nostalgia. "The amount of love which I got all these years is unconditional. Even today people give me that love. I just hope it continues with Ishq Vishk Rebound and InshaAllah whatever else happens in life. There is no pressure, but too much love.” Aww, isn’t he just a charmer?

For those out of the loop (shame on you!), Ishq Vishk Rebound is the sequel to the 2003 hit Ishq Vishk. The original flick launched Shahid Kapoor into stardom, and featured Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala. Fast forward to 2023, this new installment promises a fresh take, with a sprinkle of Gen Z romance.

Speaking of stepping into big shoes, Rohit Saraf, who’s taking on the mantle from Shahid Kapoor, shared his two cents last month. "More than pressure, there’s a lot of gratitude," he said, trying to sound all zen about it. "Because I feel like this is an opportunity not many people get and I don’t want to dilute that by putting that kind of pressure on myself. Sab itna aapass mein pressure bolte rehte hai, I feel like I should start taking pressure because in all honesty, abhi tak I wasn’t taking any; it’s not like a remake of the first Ishq Vishk, it’s not a sequel of the first Ishq Vishk. The only thing that is common between the two films is that they belong to the same franchise. It’s a new story altogether. It’s a love story about Gen Z, what they go through, and it is kinda exciting.”

Ishq Vishk Rebound will hit the big screens on June 21. Are you excited yet? 🎬💃

Nisha’s Nutshell:

Bollywood’s moral of the day: If you play SRK’s kid once, you’re set for life. But remember, there’s no pressure, only love… and a bucket load of expectations. Welcome to Bollywood, where the nepotism is strong, but the nostalgia is stronger! 🎥✨
