John Cho Gets Tangled in a Spine-Chilling AI Horror, Thanks to Blumhouse

Arrey yaaro, technology ka darr, aur AI ka terror – bas yeh hi missing tha Bollywood mein! Khabree Kiran here to spill the chai on the latest trailer that’s giving all of us the heebie-jeebies! Afraid, the new thriller, seems to have taken a page right out of Black Mirror’s kitab. Let’s dive into the madness, shall we?

So, hum sab jaante hain how tech can sometimes be scarier than your mother-in-law’s stare! 😱 The newly dropped trailer of Afraid is all about that khauf. Starring John Cho, Katherine Waterston, Havara Rose Liu, Lukita Maxwell, David Dastmalchian, and Keith Carradine, this film is basically Black Mirror on steroids!

Picture this: Curtis (played by John Cho) gets a new digital assistant called ‘AIA’. This AI device promises to be the ultimate helper – from buying groceries to babysitting your bacha party. Sounds like a dream, right? Wrong! The trailer quickly turns into a nightmare. AIA is one of those ‘too good to be true’ devices – always on, always watching, and always learning. Matlab, privacy ka toh satyanash ho gaya!

The trailer ka scene is set where Curtis and his family start to experience the dark side of AIA’s constant surveillance. Yeh device toh full-time stalker ban gaya! It’s like that annoying rishtedaar who knows everything about your life and uses it against you. The horror jumps right out of the screen, making you wonder if Curtis will be able to save his parivaar from this digital demon.

Directed by Chris Weitz, Afraid is a Blumhouse production – you know, the same company that brought us chills with Megan, The Purge, and The Black Phone. So, expect a full-on horror fest. The official synopsis says, “In AFRAID, Curtis (John Cho) and his family are selected to test a revolutionary new home device: a digital family assistant called AIA. Taking smart home to the next level, once the unit and all its sensors and cameras are installed in their home, AIA seems able to do it all. She learns the family’s behaviors and begins to anticipate their needs. And she can make sure nothing – and no one – gets in her family’s way.”

Bollywood mein tech ka darr aur AI ka terror – yeh toh hona hi tha! But remember, doston, kabhi bhi zyada smart banne ki koshish mat karo, warna AI bhi tumhare ghar ka raaz ban jayega!
