Juhi Chawla Reminisces SRK’s Struggling Days
So, Juhi Chawla recently spilled the beans at an event in Gujarat about apna King Khan’s early days. Picture this: Shah Rukh Khan, the baadshah of Bollywood, once had no roof over his head in Mumbai. Can you even imagine? He’d come all the way from Delhi, and bhai sahab, he had no idea where his next meal was coming from. He used to eat from the unit’s plate, drink their chai, and blend in with the crew like a pro. Unit ka khaana khaate the, unit ki plate se. Unit ki chai peete the aur unit ke saath bilkul ghul mil ke hassi mazaak, baatein karna.
Juhi went on to say, "He had this one black Gypsy, literally his prized possession. But haaye re kismat, he couldn’t keep up with the EMI and poof, the car was taken away. Can you imagine? From shooting ‘Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman’ to ‘Dil Aashna Hai’ and another film with Divya Bharti, the man was working round the clock. Yet, he couldn’t pay for his car. What a scene yaar!"
Waise, when his car was confiscated, SRK was shattered. Juhi remembers telling him, "Arre koi baat nahi, you’ll have many more cars. They’ll just come, you just see. Don’t worry. It’s nothing.” And lo and behold, ab dekho, the man has a fleet of cars that would make anyone’s jaw drop.
From not being able to pay his car’s EMI to owning a collection of luxury cars, Shah Rukh Khan’s journey is nothing short of filmi inspiration.
