Kabir Khan Celebrates a Decade of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’: A Film That Keeps On Giving

Arre bhaiya, Bollywood mein kuch bhi ho sakta hai! One minute you’re watching a blockbuster, the next you’re diving into a tale of cricket dreams! That’s exactly the rollercoaster director Kabir Khan has been on, and I’m here to spill the chai! 🫖

Bajrangi Bhaijaan’s Decade of Dosti
Can you believe it’s been 10 years since Bajrangi Bhaijaan dropped into our lives? Time flies when you’re crossing borders with a mute girl from Pakistan and a Hanuman bhakt, hai na? Our very own Salman Khan as Pawan, uniting Munni (played by the adorable Harshali Malhotra) with her folks, continues to tug at our heartstrings. Kabir Khan, basking in the evergreen love for this film, recently shared with the folks at the I View World Film Festival, "Yeh film toh bas deti hi ja rahi hai! Har saal pyaar badhta hi ja raha hai."

Now, talking about the festival, Kabir is not just resting on his laurels. When he’s not reminiscing about past successes, he’s busy crafting new stories with a stellar team! Picture this: Kabir Khan, Imtiaz Ali, Onir, and Rima Das—all pooling their talents to bring you My Melbourne, an anthology that kicks off the festival with a bang. Kabir’s segment, Setara, tells the story of a young Afghan girl chasing her cricket dreams in Melbourne after escaping the Taliban. Talk about hitting it out of the park! 🏏

Kabir describes the experience as "ekdum zabardast!" Collaborating with such creative minds was a unique opportunity, "Bhai, kabhi-kabhi mil baithne ka mauka mil jaye toh chhodna nahi chahiye," he says. And, with a lineup like that, who wouldn’t agree?
