Kangana, with all her candor, wrote, “I haven’t followed much of Meena ji’s work but I read a lot and she seemed highly celebrated for her craft. This hair-raising transition from grief to hysterical chuckle to sheer disillusionment is beyond supreme,” She then added, “Apparently in her days one didn’t dare call other heroines actresses, media and film industry said they are all heroines, there is one actress and that is Meena Kumari.”
Meena Kumari: The Eternal Tragedy Queen Chalo, Thoda Meena Kumari ke baare mein bhi jaan lete hain. Known as the “tragedy queen” of Bollywood, Meena Kumari’s life was as dramatic as her roles. Kangana’s Next Big Move: Emergency Ab baat karte hain Kangana ke next dhamakedaar project ki. The actor-turned-politician announced the release date of her film Emergency, where she plays none other than former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Mark your calendars, dosto! The film is set to release on September 7 this year. Backed by Zee Studios and co-produced by Kangana and Renu Pitti, the screenplay is by Ritesh Shah, with music by Sanchit Balhara.
