Kanganaâs Confession: No Politics, Just Positivity (Believe it or Not!)
Letâs talk about our resident controversy queen, Kangana Ranaut, who recently decided to set the record straight on why sheâs steering clear of the political arena. Contrary to popular belief (and all the juicy gossip flying around), Kangana insists that her decision has nothing to do with her much-publicized spat with the Shiv Sena or the demolition of her Mumbai abode.
In a podcast thatâs probably trending as we speak, Kangana opened up, âMy inclination to try something new in life never came from a place of bitterness. Negativity drains me. Even when I said that after Amitabh Bachchan, if someone gets immense respect, itâs me, I still stand by that.â Um, okay, Kangana. Noted! đ
Reflecting on the 2020 demolition drama, she added, âI felt quite violated, it felt like a lot of violence was unleashed on me. A house is an extension of you, but mine was violently broken, it felt like a personal attack at that time. My takeaway from that incident was how many people supported me in Maharashtra, and to what extent India supported me. Everybody knows the Shiv Sena incident, and people have told me I am courageous. There is a certain fan following of that incident.â
Cue dramatic music. đŹ
Kanganaâs Upcoming Cinematic Saga
On the professional front, Kangana is gearing up to play former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in her directorial venture, Emergency. This flick dives into the 1975 Emergency period and features a stellar cast including Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Satish Kaushik, and Mahima Chaudhry. The film, which seems to have faced more delays than a Mumbai local train, is finally expected to grace the big screens this year. đĽ
For those who need a refresher (or lived under a rock), Kanganaâs directorial debut was the epic Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in 2019. Not only did she direct, but she also played the fierce Rani Lakshmibai. The movie won her a fourth National Award for Best Actress. Sheâs also a Padma Shri recipient and has bagged National Awards for Fashion, Queen, and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Talk about a trophy shelf! đ
Nishaâs Nutshell: In B-town, drama isnât just a genre, itâs a lifestyle. Moral of the story? When life gives you demolition squads, turn it into a podcast episode and let the world know youâre still the queen! đ
Stay tuned for more spicy updates and remember, in the circus of Bollywood, the show must go on! đŞ
