New Delhi: The Paris Olympics has seen participation from a whopping 117 Indian athletes. Bollywood stars, in their usual filmy fashion, have taken to social media to cheer on our sports heroes. Ayushmann Khurrana, Ajay Devgn, Sonali Bendre, and Deepika Padukone have all expressed their support in their own unique styles. However, leave it to Kangana Ranaut to bring the drama! She’s fuming over the Olympics opening ceremony, claiming it mocked Christianity.
Ah, Kangana Ranaut, our very own queen of controversy. This time, she’s got her claws out for the Paris Olympics. On Saturday, Kangana decided to turn her Instagram Stories into a battlefield. Sharing pictures and videos from the ceremony, she slammed the performance inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper” as "appalling". And oh, she’s particularly miffed about a child being part of the performance. 🧐
Kangana’s not one to mince words. Sharing a video of the ceremony, she wrote, “The inclusion of a child in this disgraceful presentation of ‘The Last Supper’ has sparked outrage. They portrayed a child as Jesus, painted blue, mocking Christianity. The leftists have hijacked the 2024 Olympics. Shameful.” Whoa, talk about a mic drop! 🎤
In another post, Kangana questioned, “Is this how France welcomes the world to the 2024 Olympics? What message are they trying to send? I’m not against homosexuality, but linking it to the Olympics in this way is beyond my imagination. Why can’t sexuality stay in the bedroom? Why is it becoming a national identity?” 🤔
