Reality Check! 🎬

So, Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s award-winning The Kashmir Files is still making waves, two years after its release. Can you believe it? Vishal Raina, a victim of the Kashmir genocide, recently poured his heart out to Agnihotri about the film’s impact on Kashmiri Pundits.

Directed by our very own controversy’s favorite child Vivek Agnihotri, The Kashmir Files dives deep into the struggles of Kashmiri Pandits during the 1990s insurgency. The film was a box office buster, raking in over 300 crores (that’s $41 Million for all you dollar peeps) worldwide. But oh boy, did it stir the pot! Many accused the film of demonizing Kashmiri Muslims.

Lekin yaar, jo bhi bolo, the film left a lasting impression. Recently, during a Chandigarh event, Agnihotri met Vishal Raina, a Kashmiri genocide victim who emotionally thanked him for portraying the plight of Kashmiri Pandits. Raina, sitting among the audience, praised Agnihotri, saying he lived the movie as a Kashmiri Pandit.

Arey, itna pyaar! Raina even touched Agnihotri’s feet on stage, and the director reciprocated with a bow and a hug, calling him one of India’s real soldiers. Agnihotri, ever the showman, announced that the story of Kashmiri Pandits will continue with his upcoming film, “The Delhi Files.”

Bhai, yeh toh blockbuster ka bhai ban gaya! Agnihotri added that while The Kashmir Files highlighted their woes, The Delhi Files will tackle their ongoing struggles and serve as a warning. He even shared a video of this emotional encounter on social media with the caption, “Last week in Chandigarh, I met Vishal Raina – a victim of Kashmir genocide. Watch what transpired.” Check it out here:

Meanwhile, after The Kashmir Files’ commercial triumph, producer Abhishek Agarwal is all set to back “The Delhi Files” under his banner Abhishek Agarwal Arts.
