So, our very own Ammy Virk, who’s making waves with his latest film "Khel Khel Mein," has quite the inspirational kahani. Imagine being in his jootis for a moment. Growing up in a typical middle-class family, Ammy’s dad did some serious jugad to support his son’s musical aspirations. The man even sold their car and took loans to fund Ammy’s first album! Wah, kya baat hai!
In a candid chit-chat with Siddharth Kanan, Ammy spilled the beans on his childhood struggles and his father’s sacrifices. “People often ask me about the first car I bought. Arrey yaar, first I sold a car! Papa sold our Zen for Rs 2.5-3 lakh and took a loan of another Rs 2.5-3 lakh. Our ghar was always buzzing with talks about loans of Rs 25-30 lakh, interest rates, and saving for behen ki shaadi,” he said. Can you relate? Middle-class ke problems, yaar!
Fast forward to 2013-2015, when Ammy started earning some serious moolah. What did he do? Paid off his parents’ loans of Rs 30 to 40 lakh and turned their house into a mini-palace. Italian marble, full-body showers, the works! And hold on to your dupattas – the showers in his house cost Rs 6 lakh each! 🙄
Remember those days when the whole family huddled in one AC room? Well, now Mr. Virk owns 9 ACs in his swanky new home. Talk about leveling up! If this doesn’t inspire you to chase your dreams, phir toh pata nahi kya karega!
