Kiara Advani Spills the Tea on Hubby Sidharth’s Hilarious Response to Her Viral Singing: “You’ve Got Nerve!”

Oh Bollywood, where drama is the main course and trolling is the dessert!

Kiara Advani’s Singing Fiasco: Sidharth’s Reaction Will Leave You in Splits

Gather ’round, my Bollywood buffs! You remember that time when Kiara Advani serenaded us during the Indian Idol Season 12 finale? Yeah, the performance everyone and their grandmother had an opinion about. Our girl Kiara recently spilled the beans, and let’s just say, hubby Sidharth Malhotra had a reaction that’s pure gold. 💫

In a clip from a fan meet-and-greet, Kiara confessed, “It was so bad, uske baad I would never…” (Translation: “After that, I would never…”). The crowd, ever the loyal cheerleaders, chimed in, “No, it was not bad, it was pretty.” To which our diva replied, “Thank you, you all are real fans.” Well, at least someone’s got her back!

But wait till you hear what Sidharth had to say. Kiara recounted, “Gaane ke baad Sidharth said ‘You have guts. Grand Finale me tumne koshish kiya’” (Translation: “After the song, Sidharth said, ‘You have guts. You tried to sing in the Grand Finale.’).” Ah, the subtle art of a backhanded compliment. 🥴 Kiara added, “Suddenly mera sur off ho gaya (Translation: “My pitch went off”), but I understand. But the thing is you do it from your heart and that’s what matters.”

For those of you who missed this epic moment, here’s a fan page’s Instagram reel of Kiara’s performance:

The Social Media Saga: Post-Marriage Trolls and Intimate Scenes

Just when you thought the drama was over, let’s rewind to Kiara’s recent film Satyaprem Ki Katha. Married to Sidharth Malhotra, the actress faced a barrage of criticism for her intimate scenes with co-star Kartik Aaryan. Oh, the scandal! 😲

In an interview with Film Companion, Kiara shared, “The first time I felt this sense of overbearing, like something is overpowering me with social media was during the time of Satyaprem Ki Katha when the movie was coming out. I had just been married and I suddenly felt like there was a very weird negativity that was going on about just certain scenes. ‘Usne ye kyun kiya,’ ‘Wo kyun kiya’” (Translation: “Why did she do this, why did she do that?”). Apparently, being a married actress means you’re supposed to act like you’re in a 1950s family drama. 🙄

Kiara admitted, “And I just felt like, wait what has happened here? This is all too new for me because on the one hand, people troll you for ridiculous things but on the other hand, people were trolling you because you are a married actor and you are expected to be or say or do a certain thing. And that got to me slightly and it got to me in a way that I was not able to just like brush it off. I was not able to see past it. It was really affecting me. My team was like, ‘Forget it. What’s wrong with you?’”

Nisha’s Nutshell

Moral of the story: In Bollywood, you can either sing off-key or kiss on-screen, but whatever you do, brace yourself for the trolls. 🎭

Kiara Advani will next grace our screens in Game Changer and War 2. Stay tuned, because the drama is just getting started!
