Ab suno, Neena Gupta, our powerhouse actress with a personal life that could give any blockbuster a run for its money, shared a truly touching tale from her past. Picture this: It’s the early 80s, and Neena ji, in her bid to upgrade to a swanky three-BHK in Mumbai, sold off her old apartment. But as kismat would have it, she found herself broke and forced to crash at her aunt’s place. Sounds like a classic Bollywood plot twist, right? 😏

In a chat with Housing.com, Neena spills the beans, “I was living at my aunt’s place, thinking, ‘Yeh toh badiya hai, ghar bhi nahi hai, aur yahan muft ka khaana!’ But alas, ek raat, in true filmy style, aunty ji ne mujhe nikaal diya. There I was, with little Masaba, nowhere to go, feeling like a heroine in distress.” Arre wah, life sometimes hits you with a full dramatic scene!

Thinking she had struck a deal with the universe, our Neena ji had informed her uncle and aunt about her ghar ka na hona ka plan. But when reality struck, unka uncle became her knight in shining armor, relocating her to his saasu maa’s vacant house in Juhu. But, yaar, itni saal se band ghar, toh you can imagine the cobwebs and rust! So, Neena and baby Masaba rolled up their sleeves and cleaned it up, only to be asked to vacate again. Kya kismet hai!

With no other choices left, Neena marched to the builder and asked for her paisa back. And in true Bollywood happy ending style, the builder returned her full amount without any deductions. Wah re wah! 😎
