Leverage Their Fame for My Own Publicity…

Hey Bollywood buffs! It’s your favorite Bollywood keeda, Khabree Kiran, back with more masala and drama from the tinsel town! Grab your chai and get ready for some gupshup!

Director Anil Sharma is doing a little happy dance because his film Vanvaas finally had its satellite streaming debut yesterday, March 8. Now, this flick didn’t exactly mint money at the box office, but critics sure showered it with love. Known for his emotional and family-centric stories, Anil Sharma has a knack for tugging at our heartstrings. In a chat with yours truly, he talked about whether the recent Mahakumbh events would inspire his next venture. Arey bhai, listen to this!

Word on the street is that the Mahakumbh saw some heartbreaking incidents where old parents were left behind by their families. This tragic theme also forms the backbone of Anil’s film Vanvaas. But will our director sahab draw from these real-life events for a future project? Nope! The man said a big fat ‘no’ to that idea.

Anil Sharma candidly shared, "Bhai, it’s a tragic scenario, and I don’t feel right exploiting it for publicity. Those left behind are in a really painful situation, and it genuinely hurts me." Talk about dil se bolna!

Now, a little birdie had also been chirping about Govinda being considered for the 2001 hit Gadar: Ek Prem Katha before Sunny Deol. Well, Anil ji decided to clear the air on this one too.

“Govinda is a dear actor to me,” he said, “but he’s best suited for different kinds of films. Jab woh karte hain, toh kamaal hi karte hain!” Well, there you have it, folks! The director has spoken, and as always, it’s no-nonsense.

Vanvaas, penned and produced by Anil Sharma himself, stars Nana Patekar and Utkarsh Sharma. The film takes a hard look at the gut-wrenching issue of elderly parents being abandoned by their children. Heavy stuff, huh?

Kiran’s Gyan: Bollywood mein sab kuch chalta hai—except stealing ideas from real-life tragedies. Thoda originality bhi zaroori hai, na?
